Freedom Bear

A plush bear in both kits will encourage someone just abused that they are not alone and help with their traumatic emotions and the healing process.

The Freedom Bear is based on a story of a Christopher Newport University student who was raped at 7 years old on a picnic table in her back yard. Her bear was thrown against the fence where his heart was torn. Writing her fears on notes and putting them into the bear’s heart helped her heal. Now Freedom Bear wants to help others around the world move from fear to freedom.

The bears are being made in Cambodia at a factory that predominately employs victims of sexual assault to help victims in the U.S.
